Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia is a Gothic horror novel set in 1950s Mexico that blends eerie atmosphere, psychological tension, and dark family secrets. The story follows glamorous socialite Noemí Taboada, whose carefree life in Mexico City is interrupted when a desperate letter from her newly married cousin Catalina begs for rescue from a remote estate called High Place.
